Hi everyone!
I hope you are all enjoying your fall break! I know a lot of families had some exciting plans for the long weekend! We had a great short week. Our fieldwork on Tuesday was so great. Dr. Ault is truly amazing with our students. We learned so much while we were at the Wasatch Fault and found a lot of rocks that showed evidence of the fault. Check out the "Photos" section of our website to see the album from this trip. Next week we will continue with our case study of earthquakes. We will be finishing up a lesson on the Wasatch Fault and will explore different earthquakes from our region of the U.S. towards the end of the week. It will be a big week for 6th graders as they have two tests on Tuesday: one in math and one in science. Students were given a study guide for their science test that we will go over briefly before our test on Tuesday. We will have a review day for math on Monday before taking the end-of-module assessment. They should be studying as much as they can this weekend! Important October/November Dates to Remember: Tuesday, October 31st: Fieldwork to USU campus (drivers are still needed!) Friday, November 10th: Early out (teacher prep) Thursday, November 16th: 1:30 Early out (student led conferences) Friday, November 17th: No classes (student led conferences) November 22nd-24th: No school (Thanksgiving break) I can't believe how quickly we are approaching winter! I don't believe we have any fieldwork scheduled for November. If you'd like to help out with our trip to the USU campus, please shoot me an email! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Ms. Kelty
